The Hazards - Coles Bay

The Hazards – Coles Bay is an original hand-carved lino print inspired by the granite peaks of The Hazards, overlooking Coles Bay on Tasmania’s east coast.

This piece captures the shifting light, water, and weather of the Freycinet coastline through bold carved marks and layered textures. The movement of the sky and sea is built from flowing cuts, while the solid forms of the mountains anchor the composition, reflecting the balance between stillness and motion found in the landscape.

Each print begins as a single lino block, carved by hand, then inked and printed individually in black on white paper. The handmade process results in subtle variations and natural imperfections, making every print slightly unique.
